Markdata software is a success in India
Last week, the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) of India presented in Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Bombay the new software supplied by Markdata and the success was astonishing.
As we had announced, BARC India and Markdata signed in June 2014 a Licensing Agreement for the distribution of Markdata’s TV solutions in India.
BARC recently toured some of the biggest markets of the country to present Markdata solutions already working with Indian television audience data and, as the MxM announces, the reception is being very positive, even stating about lightyears difference compared with the earlier solutions.
In India, the software is known by the acronym BMW (BARC Media Workstation) and the auto type comparison between spending a humble urban car for a top of the range was even used to describe the change observed by users to whom the tool was presented.
BARC is a joint organization set up in India in 2012 with the specific purpose of supervising the measurement of television audiences in India. BARC brings together the three key stakeholders in the measurement of television audience - channels, advertisers and advertising and media agencies. Its members, which are the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF), the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA) and the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), represent the three industries. This alliance ensures the financial and intellectual resources to ensure the success of this initiative in a robust, transparent and accountable way. Associates in India and around the world, will enjoy a constant, accurate and friendly access to the measurement of television audiences.
BARC India has signed a license agreement with Markdata
BARC India has signed a license agreement with Markdata, a company of the Portuguese Marktest Group, Portugal’s leading market research and audience measurement organization.
The agreement gives BARC the right to distribute the TV Markdata Solutions to their subscribers in India.
Markdata is a Software House, integrated in Marktest Group, specialised in broadcasting and advertising television analysis.
Markdata has its systems installed in 26 countries and they are used by thousands of final users and are more spread than any other system. We have met the challenges of many of our international clients and our challenge is to produce the best and the most powerful software in the area of Global Television Information System.
